A day of cleanup

Remember how you felt when your mother told you to clean up your room? It's nice to see a group of youth that wanted to spend a day cleaning up a large room, well the area around the Thompson House to be exact. (Of course they were dismissed from attending classes at school in exchange for their labor). Such an outing can be rewarding, especially when the payoff includes a look at history. So without any further ado here are the pictures of Mr. Bailey's 8th grade class in action:

Of course there is always the possibility of finding some treasure (How about a penny for your thoughts)

You can never tell what you will find buried in the ground. (Imagine using square nails today-good luck in finding them-I don't think they carry them at Lowes or Home Depot)
And then there are the memorials to generation long past...
